Vocational Training
|
Students at PVHS get the opportunity to have work experience through the vocational training
course. Teachers grade students based on their attendance, class work, and
a final exam. This vocational program prepares students for their future
and helps them understand what skills different jobs require. Students get
paid minimum wage and get school credits while they are working. Most
students report that this is a very valuable course in helping prepare for
their future. |
What Students Think About Their Vocational Training
|

|
Betsy has been a student
at PVHS for two and a half months. Her on-the-job training is at Pueblo
Gardens Elementary School where she works with children 4 & 5 years
of age. She has been doing this training for about two weeks and the part
of the training she likes the best is working with the children. From this experience she has
learned different and better ways to teach children. |
