The One That Means The World To Me

This poem is about the woman that means my heart and soul.

I remember back in 1992, when you almost lost your one and only true love. Tears dropping from her unique eyes. As I reach across to wipe the lonely tears from her lonely eyes.

Every now and then, I drop to my knees and beg the lord please, "why do you take my only brother and not me?" There is nothing I can say or do that can change the hands of time, but shed some tears for the ones whose souls remain here.

I can remember waking up in puddles of sweat begging you why you have to take my only brother away. Days and years passed by, so I started banging and slanging. I can remember coming home late and my mom would be in the living room asking "Why me? I did the best I can."

That is why whenever I am feeling, down I can count on my soul and heart-my mom to be around.
