What do you do for the school?

I am a Co-director and Consultant for school planning and operations.     

How long have you been doing that?

I have been involved in teaching and learning for the past 37 years. 

Why did you choose this job/career? 

I have always liked learning and my education has enriched my life for beyond my expectations.   

What are your thoughts about Pima Vocational High School?

We now have a Vocational School that will give young adults another chance to succeed in high school while learning a job that will make them self sustaining.

What are your thoughts about the students attending P.V.H.S.?  

P.V.H.S. students have to convince themselves that they can do the hard work that success requires.

How do you feel about the vocational work experience programs?

These programs provide a tremendous opportunity for students to learn how to be successful employees and earn money while learning.

What do you encourage in the students?  

I encourage students to choose a lifestyle; then match the job, education and training to achieve it.

What are your hopes for the school and students in the future?

We (students and educators) take the responsibility to learn how to work together to make teaching and learning successful for all students in our programs.

Other Comments

The keys to our success will be the partnership we develop with students, parents, county employees, community agencies, business and other educational institutions.
